Officer
E. Hernandez
We would like to thank everyone that has visited this web-site in the past few days and has signed our guest book, and we want you to please keep checking back weekly for updates on Jaslynn and help us with prayers. It was a pleasure to talked to the SAPOA Officer and other officers and we thank you for your support and your prayers. This web-site will run a week or 2 more with pictures of our son as we announce his graduation, we are very proud of him to have completed his training despite what his daughter Jasylnn is going through. After a week or 2 we will return just to Jaslynn’s update and condition. Please help us pray for Jaslynn as she will return to her chemo starting June 7, and also for her dad that he will be safe in his new job. Again Thank you.

Police Officers Prayer ; Oh Almighty God, whose great power and eternal wisdom embraces the universe. Watch over all policemen and law enforcement officers. Father in Heaven please give them the strength, courage and perseverance to endure The unjust condemnation, danger, and physical abuse to which they are at times subjected. We recommend them to your loving care because their duty is dangerous. Dear God, grant these brave men and women your almighty protection, Unite them safely with their families after duty has ended. Amen

I miss a lot of things I used to do with her. I would pick her up from school, and then we would stop at the store for snacks. When Jaslynn, Gibby and I would get home we would watch cartons while Jaslynn colored and Gibby did his homework. Gibby is a very smart kid, he is an honor roll student at Somerset Elementary. These were their daily activities to keep them busy while they waited for mom and dad to get home. Now mom has to stay home and take care of her. Dad has a new job and it breaks his heart because he can’t be at the appointments.

Two days before we found out that Jaslynn had the brain tumor, her dad was hired with SAPD. He accepted the job proudly. After we found out how ill Jaslynn really was he had to put a lot of thought into his new job. I told him to continue his career and we(his family) would all help him out with Jaslynn. He went ahead and took the job because he knew he had to be strong and keep working so that she would be insured. The training that he must go through is very strict, so he isn’t able to take days off, and that is why he is unable to attend the appointments. This training is 29 weeks long. The training will be over before the chemo is, and then he will hopefully be able to go with her to the treatments. When Jaslynn goes to the doctor for her chemo we always try and have 2 people there with her. Since Shaun is unable to attend, his sister, Hope's parents, or myself go in his place.

We ask that everyone please keep praying for Jaslynn and the family. I would also like to thank everyone for visiting my web-site and for all the e-mails you have sent. Shaun and Hope get all the e-mails and also say thanks. If you have a prayer or just want to send a note I will give it to them for a scrap book that Hope is putting together for Jaslynn.

Below are some more pictures of our son and his family, some are from the ceremony that was held on June 3rd. The cadets were presented with there badge, and equipment. We had a graduation party for him Saturday June 5th where he received gifts from friends and family that was work related. I collect and sell old things and about 15 years ago, I bought this police whistle because my son always said he wanted to be a police officer. He was about 8 years old then. This whistle and chain is old and made of brass, they don’t make them like that anymore. I have bought and sold over the years but I always held on to this whistle because I knew that one-day he would be an Officer. So after 15 years with this whistle that he had never seen I polished it and gave it to him at dinner after his graduation.

Our next big event is planning a wedding for our daughter. We would like to make her dream come true. Jaslynn and Gibby are very excited that they would be in the wedding, Jaslynn as the flower girl and Gibby as the ring bearer. We are trying to have the wedding at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Antonio Tx. But I my self did not know that weddings now a days were so expensive. But I’ll see if I can make it happen. It’s been 25 years since our wedding.

I can keep going and going but will keep it short, like I said we will keep this up for about 2 weeks because this web-site will return for weekly up-dates on Jasylnn’s condition and asking for prayers.

This is the whistle I held for 15 years.
