Jaslynn Faith Hernandez
We had just Celebrated Jaslynn Faith 4th birthday September 15th. She had a wonderful day. Jaslynn smiled a smile you would not believe all day long. She had lots of fun got wonderful gifts, the best one of all was her electric Barbie jeep her daddy bought her. Her big brother drove her around and around. Then she attempted to drive herself some of us had to get out of the way. You know us women drivers (just kidding). This was the first year she did not cry at her birthday. When Jaslynn turned one or when anyone would sing Happy Birthday she would just cry and cry, she did not like the birthday song. This year Jaslynn finally understood it was her day and she loved it and the birthday song too.
We would like to thank everyone for their prayers for our granddaughter Jaslynn. Jaslynn had taken ill one Wednesday morning in October, we woke Jaslynn and Gibby up to go to school she went to walk and just fell flat she just laughed at first she thought it was funny. Jaslynn attempted three more times to walk and she could not, her right leg was like it was asleep. Her Mother and Father took her to the doctor and he x-rayed the leg and said everything looked O.K. The doctor recommended a neurologist, they scheduled the appointment the following week. Her leg seemed worse when she was tired, then on Sunday she got alot worse. Her Mother and Father took her to the emergency room and they did the MRI and she was diagnosed with the brain tumor. The following Tuesday, the day she was suppose to see the other neurologist, she had the brain tumor removed and she is doing a lot better. Jaslynn got all her mobility functions back praise god. The tumor was a malignant sarcoma and Jaslynn will have to undergo 42 weeks of chemotherapy.
We ask that everyone keep praying for Jaslynn that she will be completely healed. It has been very hard and sad for all us to hear that she had a brain tumor at only 4 years old, but we know that prayers can change things and miracles do happen. We have heard that her prayers have reached as far as New York. We want to keep the Chain of Prayer going to reach everyone we can to pray for our granddaughter.
We know everyone wants to know how she is doing and this is why we put the page together. Jaslynn has been doing good since her surgery, we know she does not understand what she is going through. All the different Doctors appointments to check her head and to remove the stitches and to put the port in for Chemotherapy, blood work etc. She is very good with the Doctors and does what they tell her. Jaslynn does not scream when the doctors enter the room, sometimes she tells them bad go away but does not act up.
Jaslynn Faith is a very beautiful & courageous little girl, she is always very happy and loves everyone. Jaslynn loves school, she is the only one that I have ever seen cry when it is time to go home from school. I myself was the other way around I cried when it was time to go to school. Jaslynn never complained about her health or anything. She has a Big brother his name is Gibby, which she loves & adores very much, he is 7 and he is very worried about his little sister, we ask that you include him in your prayers. Please also include Jaslynns parents Ernest Shaun and Hope for God to give them strength to cope with everything that they have to face in the future.
My Prayer
God I’m praying to you to please heal Jaslynn. I know you are the only one that has the power to do this. I ask that you give the doctors the tools that they need to heal her. Jaslynn is just a little girl just beginning life, I ask that you give her a chance at life the way you gave me. I remember my mother telling me that I was very sick when I was a baby and the doctors told my parents to take me home to die, that there was nothing more they could do for me. So my parents took me home and I remember my mom telling me that I was already all blue and very weak and they got down on their knees prayed for me to let your will be done. My dad told my mother to go fix me a bottle that I was going to be fine, when she got back to the room my cheeks were rosie and I was smiling at the both of them and they praised you Lord. You gave my parents a miracle, 45 years later and I’m proof of that. I know nothing is impossible for you, and I ask that your work be done for Jaslynn. God I also pray that you also give Gibby the strength that he needs to be strong and brave for himself and his sister and let him always be happy. I pray that you please help Ernest Shaun and Hope with everything that they need to get through this time and let your will be done, and that you give all of the grandparents and the family the strength we need to help our kids & grandkids through this crisis’s.
God you know when I got the call about Jaslynn having a brain tumor, I rushed to the hospital and prayed all the way. I asked that you let the doctors get the tumor out and you did, now I ask that you guide them in removing all the cancer from her little body. I know you are the only one that can do this so please help them help Jaslynn, I know you are receiving a lot of prayers, and I thank you for listening to every one of them. And thank you for listening to me. In Jesus name we pray AMEN.
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. Romans 12:12 This means we can be praying wherever we are and no matter what we are doing. A situation is never so serious that we can't talk to God and patiently listen for his response. That is what prayer is, communing with God who knows us, loves us, and will help us.
To everyone: Please forward my web-site to everyone you know we need to get as many prayers as we can for Jaslynn. If anyone wants to send a prayer or a note to Jaslynn and her family you can E-mail it to me I will print it and deliver it to the parents. Again thanks to all the churches and all the prayers from everyone.
