Jaslynn Has Another MRI Today Thursday December 9th.

More pictures of Jaslynn later today on website. She Looks Good. She also has some small crafts going up on ebay later today. Details will be out shortly.

Up-Date on Jaslynn December 5, 2004 I am sorry for the late update but it has been very sad around here. I went to the Drs. appointment with Shaun and Hope on Friday. Jaslynn and I waited in the room while her Dad and Mom were talking to the Dr. When they came out of Drs. office it was very sad for me to see my son had been crying and it seemed like Hope was in shock with the news they received. We are hurting so bad for them we do feel all the pain they are feeling. We know that they are hurting so much more than words can say. He told me Jaslynn’s Spinal MRI results came back clean thank God, but that the tumor she now has is really deep and they really cannot take it out. The Drs. are still trying to see what they can do next. One option was sending them to Maryland but this is not for certain yet.
We are not giving up, so please continue to help us pray for Jaslynn.
On Monday December 6, they have another appointment with the Dr. at this appointment the Dr. will let them know what is next if anything more they can do for Jaslynn. We will try to have an update as soon as we know something and please except our apologies for any delay we may need time to cope to deal with the information. We do want to let you all know Jaslynn and her brother are doing o.k. Jaslynn is not showing any symptoms from the new tumor. Again we ask for your prayers. It is all in Gods hands now and we do know that Miracles do happen.

Spinal MRI Today. Please Pray
Up-Date on Jaslynn December 2, 2004 Jaslynn is going to have a Spinal MRI today Thursday December 2, at 10am. We are asking for a very special prayer for Jaslynn for that MRI to show nothing.
Then on Friday Jaslynn’s parents have an appointment with Dr. at this appointment the Dr. will let them know what is next for Jaslynn.
I was carrying Jaslynn last night and she leans to my ear, and with a real low voice she says; grandpa I have to go to dator (Doctor) again tomorrow. It hurts to hear her say that.
I will have another Up-Date on Friday after I here from my son.

Up-Date on Jaslynn November 29, 2004 Jaslynn is doing well, she does get tired. She has had no appointments and we are still waiting to here what is next for her. It is very hard to sit and wonder what is going to happen next, so we have been trying to stay busy. We are praying that she does good as we wait to hear from Drs. Jaslynn is not having any symthoms from the new tumor. We all want what is best for Jaslynn and if that means going back and forth to Houston then we all will do that. My son’s trip to Houston this last time cost him 4 new tires on his truck and the week before that Jaslynn's mom’s car broke down and needed a fuel pump. I know God will help us get through all this.
Jaslynn received a bunny from Miz Bonnie one of our website friends and she loves that bunny so much she hugs it and lays on it. Jaslynn wanted the bunny to get married so my wife and her preformed the ceremony so now Mr. Bunny is now married to Mrs. Bear. Gibby also got a John Deer cap and he was very excited about it, he said I’m going to wear my new hat for hunting, Gibby and his dad got up at 5:30 am on Wednesday to go hunting and Gibby was wearing his new cap. Mr. and Miz Bonnie also gave us a Turkey for thanksgiving and it was very much appreciated. We all had a very good Thanksgiving and Jaslynn and Gibby got to play with all their cousins, we cooked 2 turkeys and one ham. Everything was good.
Jaslynn also sits and looks and more cards she received in the mail from another classroom.
As soon as we hear from Drs. I will let everyone know.

Team of Drs. in Houston will discuss what is next for Jaslynn
Up-Date on Jaslynn November 23, 2004 Jaslynn and her parents are back, the weather in Houston was very bad. They met with Drs. in Houston, Drs. said this is a very aggressive and rare cancer. Jasylnn was examine, and Drs. consulted with parents they wanted to know everything from day one. After talking with Drs. for a little over an hour Drs. said that Jasylnn’s file will be looked over by several Drs. and then they will set a date to where this team of Drs. can meet and they will all discuss what the next step will be for Jaslynn. All this will take about 2 weeks and they will let them know at that time what is next. To me this is going to be a long 2 weeks that we have to wait and wonder what is going to happen next. I know these tumors are coming to fast and we still pray that God helps Jaslynn get through this, we know she is a fighter.

Again please help us pray for Jaslynn and her family; We thank you lord for friends who continue to be friends even after they know us well. For people who love us even after they have seen us at our worst, for public servants, preachers, teachers, police officers, firemen, and church workers, who serve us faithfully even though we never stop to thank them, for all those who never stop doing good work just because no one expresses gratitude.
Lord we ask the you give Jasylnn the strength to continue fighting this evil sickness in her body and let her live a long life we know you have the power to make this happen. She is only 5 and she has been through a lot. We also ask for strength for Jaslynns parents, they are hurting and we hurt with them and most of all Gibby as he sees his sister having to go through this and still having to concentrate at school.
Lord give us a strong awareness of your presence and a steady faith in your promises. May our faith give reality to the things we hope for. Give wings to our hopes and rest to our fears, add courage to our faith. Lord, I am thankful for the church that brought the joy of living into my life when it introduced me to the person who has become my best friend - Jesus Christ! Amen.

Jaslynn and her parents headed for Houston Tx.

Up-Date on Jaslynn November 20, 2004 Jasylnn had a busy week this week she received one unit of red blood cells and one unit of platelets. She also had a MRI on Wednesday. We all know that at times we all have to go to Drs. fasting, and after all these appointments she is hungry and wants PIZZA of course. Jasylnn had an appointment on Friday to get MRI results. The MRI showed another Tumor next to where the very first Tumor was, it also shows the spot that they have been watching is still there. The Dr. and everyone could not believe this because the Dr. said that they gave Jaslynn the strongest chemo that they could give her and yet the Tumors are still coming while on the chemo. The Dr. also stated that at this point he knows what to do next but that he has gotten so attached to Jaslynn since he has been treating her over a year now, so he wants a second opinion and that best Drs. for this are in Houston Tx. And he wants to consult with them and he would let the parents know when. All this was going to be put on hold till after Thanksgiving, but Friday afternoon the Doctor had already talked to Drs. in Houston. Late Friday afternoon the Dr. called and told Jaslynn’s parents that they will have to be in Houston Monday morning for a 12:30 appointment. They will be headed for Houston as soon as my son Ernest gets off work Monday morning. I was also told that some of the treatments that Jaslynn has coming up will be done here in San Antonio and some will be done in Houston. And at this point we don’t know what they will be yet.
It has been very sad and hard for everyone here. We now know that Jaslynn still has a lot of work ahead of her and we will continue to pray for her and ask for everyone to keep helping us pray for her. I will continue to update everyone weekly or daily depending on her condition.
Next Up-Date on Jasylnn as soon as I here something from Houston on Monday.

Please help us Pray that MRI shows everything is ok, and no tumors are back.

Weekly Up-Date on Jaslynn November 15, 2004 Jaslynn had a very good week, her counts are still coming up on there own. Jaslynn has a MRI on Wednesday November 17th to see if the spot where the first tumor was removed is still shrinking from the heavy dose of Chemo she had. I’m sure they will also be checking to make sure no new tumors are forming. The MRI will determine what is next from what we understand, the Drs. will be having a consultation to decide what is the best next step for Jaslynn. My son did state something about a third brain surgery on the spot but lets not go there lets keep faith that the Chemo worked.
Jaslynn and Gibby have been playing all week with some of their friends that have been coming to visit them. They even had a sleep over on Friday night they had a blast. Pictures above show Jaslynn and Gibby playing with there Uncle Matthew. Jaslynn and Gibby like to go to Sunday school with there Aunt Priscilla and Mom they have been taken turns. If you have seen Jaslynn in your church in the San Antonio area, and she is not there the following weekend she is pretty much at another church. Jaslynns also gets invited to other Church’s and her parents try to make sure they attend all her invites, unfortunately sometimes they can not make all invites.
Please help us Pray that MRI shows everything is ok, and no tumors are back.

Up-Date on Jaslynn November 8, 2004 Jaslynn had her Drs. appt this morning to check her count and it was low, she needed a unit of blood and platelets. Jaslynn has been doing well and was able to attend a Benefit that was held for her and her family on Saturday. As a precaution she did have to wear her mask. Jaslynn had a lot of fun and was able to meet a lot of people. One lady her name unknown came by with a lot of Beanie Babies to donate for Jaslynn and she said if we wanted to sell them or just give them to Jaslynn and her brother Gibby, that was so wonderful. We sold some and Jaslynn and her brother kept a few, the rest will be taken to the Doctors office to comfort the other sick children. Mrs. Bonnie was also there to meet Jaslynn and Gibby, Bonnie is the one that asked permission to put Jaslynn on the www.postcardsforkids.com and Jaslynn got cards from all over the world. Also we were able to meet Mrs. Sandra from Mico, Texas she brought Jaslynn a Beautiful Musical Carousel as you can see in pictures Jasylnn loves it. We also met Imelda from Poteet, Texas she learned of Jaslynn through one of the blood drives. And many more that I forgot there names I do apologize for that. It is so nice to know that Jaslynn has many friends out their that are praying for her that came to meet her.

We would like to thank everyone that help with benefit and everyone that was able to attend. Everything was good and went so smooth we were really impressed and grateful for all the support and kindness. The turn out was great that everything was gone by 2:30pm. I know that a lot of you drove a distance to Lytle and we really do appreciate it. We do apologize for the inconvenience to those who came and we had already ran out of plates but thank you for the attempt. Maybe we can meet again at a later date.
