2nd Annual Jaslynn Faith Love for Life Blood and Toy Drive. We would like to thank everyone for helping us keep Jaslynn’s legacy going. we had 35 blood donors, and 15 registered to become bone marrow donors. The blood drive was held at the Somerset city park. The park was very nice but we do feel it hurt how many donors we received we are still very grateful for those that donated THANK YOU. Next year we will move back to the Fire Department or closer to the main road. Below are some pictures of the days event, we had Larry the blood drop from South Texas Blood and Tissue center and H.E.B. Buddy they were going around Somerset getting people to come and donate. The Somerset Volunteer Fire Department also assisted with the blood drive. There were a lot of toys donated below are pictures showing toys being delivered to the Methodist Children’s Hospital on Monday September the 18th.
In Missing You The tears that have fallen, our broken hearts that will never mend, The emptiness in our lives without you next to our side, It seems like an eternity since you went away, yet the pain is still so fresh as though it was yesterday. Until we meet again the tears will still fall, our hearts will still ache, the emptiness will remain the same. And our love for you will never change.Love Mom, Dad, Gibby, Grandpa, Grandma,Priscilla & Matthew
Shaun and Hope received a letter from Methodist Children’s Hospital, "this is the hospital Jaslynn was always in and where she passed away" the letter stated that they were going to have a ceremony to add Jaslynn’s name to the memorial tree. So today August 9, 2005 we were there for her name to be added to the tree, the small Brass Leaf was added to the tree by Jasylnn’s dad Shaun. It was very sad for all of us to walk in to the hospital without Jaslynn, it brought back a lot of memories. At the end I think it made all of us feel better after a prayer that was said by the Chaplain. If anyone is ever at this hospital you can go to the 3rd floor and see this memorial tree.
