9:00am to 5:00pm
@ Somerset Volunteer Fire Department
All toys are donated to the Methodist Children's Hospital 4th Floor Cancer Unit

A lot of people benefited from all of the blood drives that we had for Jaslynn. Jaslynn was at every event and even loved holding the signs. In her honor we would like to continue to help others. We love and miss her so much.

2nd Annual

Jaslynn Faith Love For Life Blood And Toy Drive
Was held September 16, 2006

Updated November 5, 2006

2nd Annual Jaslynn Faith Love for Life Blood and Toy Drive. We would like to thank everyone for helping us keep Jaslynn’s legacy going. we had 35 blood donors, and 15 registered to become bone marrow donors. The blood drive was held at the Somerset city park. The park was very nice but we do feel it hurt how many donors we received we are still very grateful for those that donated THANK YOU. Next year we will move back to the Fire Department or closer to the main road. Below are some pictures of the days event, we had Larry the blood drop from South Texas Blood and Tissue center and H.E.B. Buddy they were going around Somerset getting people to come and donate. The Somerset Volunteer Fire Department also assisted with the blood drive. There were a lot of toys donated below are pictures showing toys being delivered to the Methodist Children’s Hospital on Monday September the 18th.

Ernest Garcia for all the hot dog buns and flour tortillas and big bertha the BBQ pit.

Things have still been a little hard around here; there is not a day that goes by that we don’t think about Jaslynn. Also it is with deep regret to let everyone know that Shaun and Hope have gone their separate ways. Gibby is doing real good a little sad but says he is ok, he is still in karate and now is a blue belt and says he wants to be a policeman like his Dad and Uncle Matthew.

In the beginning of May we went to walk a few laps for the Relay for Life. Gibby and Grandma signed a banner with Jaslynn name and my wife sister’s name who also passed away from brain cancer in “97” we were told that the banner will be going to Washington to be on display.

In Loving Memory
Of
Our Precious Little Angel
Jaslynn Faith Hernandez
9/15/1999 - 01/07/2005
It has been a year since you went to be with Jesus, and freed from the pain you suffered.
Jaslynn you are an inspiration to all that knew you and
those who only knew you through the website.
You were so courageous and strong, you brought everyone through
your illness with your smiles, love and hugs.
You never complained about being ill, you only wanted to make everyone
laugh and feel loved.
Our lives have been forever changed, and you will be forever embedded in our hearts.
Our love for you is so strong
We love and miss you sweetheart.

In Missing You
The tears that have fallen,
our broken hearts that will never mend,
The emptiness in our lives without you next to our side,
It seems like an eternity since you went away,
yet the pain is still so fresh as though it was yesterday.
Until we meet again the tears will still fall,
our hearts will still ache,
the emptiness will remain the same.
And our love for you will never change.

Love Mom, Dad, Gibby, Grandpa, Grandma,
Priscilla & Matthew

Special thanks to the Leader News in Lytle Texas for helping us with Memory ad.

Jaslynn’s parents donated her corneas to give the gift of sight to two other children. This took a lot of courage since Jaslynn had already been through so much.

So special so loved Jaslynn Faith Hernandez you touched so many lives in your short time here with us. Everytime you would meet someone you would walk away with their heart leaving a lasting impression that would last a lifetime. Your beautiful smile, your tender kisses and warm hugs are going to be missed. You are with Jesus and the angels and free from pain. We love you so much Honey Bunny.

Memorial Tree
Hi to all Just want to say I am sorry I have not up-dated the website, it has been very hard without Jaslynn here. It has been 7 months since Jaslynn passed away and we still miss her very much. I remember when we were asked how do we all handle this, now I can say it is very hard, I myself keep thinking she will be back, she is just at a Drs. appointment and that makes me feel better. I hope everyone understands and will continue to return to our website with us.

Shaun and Hope received a letter from Methodist Children’s Hospital, "this is the hospital Jaslynn was always in and where she passed away" the letter stated that they were going to have a ceremony to add Jaslynn’s name to the memorial tree. So today August 9, 2005 we were there for her name to be added to the tree, the small Brass Leaf was added to the tree by Jasylnn’s dad Shaun. It was very sad for all of us to walk in to the hospital without Jaslynn, it brought back a lot of memories. At the end I think it made all of us feel better after a prayer that was said by the Chaplain. If anyone is ever at this hospital you can go to the 3rd floor and see this memorial tree.
